SPRING "BREAK" 2020: SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
SPRING "BREAK" 2020
GREETINGS WAGNER FAMILIES!
We hope this finds you safe and healthy during this turbulent time.
All of you and your extended families are in our hearts and minds each and every day.
As we all know, this time of year typically brings a well-deserved break to celebrate holidays, spend quality time with family, and rest our minds and bodies in preparation for the last portion of the school year. During this time of Remote Learning, we want to ensure that Wagner students have time to find this time for family, tradition, and recharging, all while maintaining essential social distancing guidelines put forth by New York City and State governments. As we stay inside and social distance, our Spring “Break” 2020 will be a chance to experience our learning a little differently.
Between April 13 & April 20, the Wagner community will be following our same time schedule, but will be focusing on catching up on missed work, finding time to recharge, and having the chance for kids (and the whole family) to engage in several experiences focused on Arts & Culture from around the world. The Wagner Spring “Break” 2020 will be:
While there are some bottom-line requirements, there will be plenty of time for you to find space for all that is important for school, for yourselves, and for your families.
TIME FOR CATCHING UP ACADEMICALLY
At your own pace, with time to consult with teachers on classes you’re struggling with, or those that you’re doing great with, and just want to learn even more about! There are so many good options for things to get done this week.
ENGAGING YOU IN ARTS & CULTURE-BASED VIRTUAL TRIPS & EXPERIENCES
There will be a daily menu of virtual trips, that will introduce you to many different aspects of Arts & Culture. You’ll see performances from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Company, or Drone Tours of New York City. The possibilities are awesome and endless!
TIME WITH FAMILY
This will be time to be with each other without mountains of new school work to think about. While Wagner prides itself on our levels of academic rigor, we know fully how important time with our families is. This week should be no exception, especially now.
