Dear Wagner Families,
I hope this note finds all of you safe and healthy. To start, I want to say how proud all of us are of the resilience, dedication, and hard work you and your children have shown in the face of the crisis unfolding around us. We know this was a difficult move, and have been utterly impressed by everyone’s ability to adapt so quickly, in such a tough time. It is in times like this that our communities’ strength is most important. The Wagner Family exemplifies this spirit and will continue to march forward towards the day we return to our little factory in Long Island City. I am honored to know you all, and our hearts and minds are with you.

We will continue all support and learning associated with these exams throughout this year, and all supports that students need along the way.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we get the most current information about the impact of this cancellation.
Grades for Remote Learning (mp2 only)
As coursework continues, we must think about grades. For MP2 ONLY, we will be using a different marking system, to better reflect how students are operating with their coursework.
The following grading scale reflects student progress within the scope and requirements of their class.
IMPORTANT: Your class-by-class gradebooks will not look different. These grades are a reflection of your teacher’s assessment of your progress, based on the COMPLETION & QUALITY of your work.
It will lead to more detailed discussions, and support from your teachers. Check out this video for an explanation of the following grades.

Senior Activities, Prom, & Graduation
While this is definitely a different end than expected, we have been looking at many different options for how to best create space for remote senior activities, and most importantly a way to do a graduation that befits your amazing accomplishments and your awesome selves. While this is no substitute for the real deal events of senior year, we’ll do our best to celebrate throughout the spring and through the end of the year. Stay tuned for details.
Regents Exams & LOTE
This year, some folks were planning to take a few Regents & the LOTE examinations. Do not worry, all of the hard work will still count. For these exams, students will be granted an exemption from NY State. This means that students will have what is considered passing grades for these tests, should they have the corresponding course credits. This is based on guidance from NYSED. We will inform you of how this will reflect on student transcripts, as information is released.
